STUDENTS WORKED ON PLANTING AROMATIC HERBS WITH MY SCHOOL COLLEGUES TEACHING AGRARIAN SUBJECTS (LEANIA CONDELLO, MARIA MARTINO, MELANIA BARBIERI). In particular, in occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the UN convention on the rights of the child, my school organized many activities such as child rights march and students performances. They also organized a gathering of funds selling pots with aromatic herbs. They worked in the school greenhouse to realize them. In addition, they realized a cream using olive oil and the lavender essential oil.

I used and will use this project in many ways for my lessons
1.We cleaned up the garden,digged,planted seeds and seedlings,watered them
and dicovered that classrom IS NOT the only learning environment.
Everybody in the school watched us during this activity and applaused.
We learned how to grow vegetables and how to take care of them- which is a lifelong learning rather than studying coursebooks.
2.I gave my students a research on
-the hometown of Med. aromatic herbs(getting help from Geography teacher)
the benefits of aromatic herbs as a medicine (getting help from Biology teacher)
the use of aromatic herbs in kitchen (getting help from their mothers)
They made presentations to the class talking in ENGLISH.
3.After teaching some words related to cooking (fruit/vegetable names,cutting-cooking techniques) I told them to give me a recipe using AROMATIC HERBS OF MEDITERRANEAN COUNTRIES
They learned how to give a recipe in English.If they go to cooking class in our school next year,it will be very useful for them.Because they re going to be cooks.

4.They learned how to use web2 tools effectively such as making videos,making collagesavatars using applications like padlet,zepeto,pawtoon etc.
They can use them for other lessons or projects in the future.
5.We solved the quiz in number 7 on PAGES section .Had a lot of information and fun.
