SUGGESTIONS:

“I Think We should use some recycled material, for example plastic bottles.” SALVATORE Carchidi IIS Ferrari Chiaravalle Italy Teacher: Valentina Fera

“I think we can monitor our plants improvement and growing process by putting a see-through material to the one side of a pot. That way we can see how its’ roots grow withall watching its’ movements on the dirt. ” Arzum ERTİK – Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School – teacher: Fatma BOZTEPE

“I agree with Arzum. The idea of a see-through material is great. And i think, because of it is suitable for spring and it can grow quickly, carrot would be a great choice as a plant. ” Veysel Enes ÇALIŞKAN – Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School – Teacher: Fatma BOZTEPE

“I think Veysel and Arzum are right. The idea of taking an ordinary pot and turning it into something you can watch a plants growth is wonderful. And carrot is a great choice because it grows underground so you can watch its rooting much more easier. ” Ayda ÖZDER – Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School – Teacher: Fatma BOZTEPE

“I really like the idea with a transparent pot! And to make it out of a plastic bottle is not difficult. You can take a large bottle and make holes in it. Plant the onion so that it grows with feathers from the holes. It will be interesting.”
Inessa Chernobay. Ukraine. Kurakhovsky Professional Lyceum.

“Hello, For plant health we would like to  use cinnamon. Because researches have  showed that cinnamon protects plants from insects and fungus. Our idea is spreading some cinnamon at the bottom of a pot-in a circle shape- and it will protect the plant from insects, fungus etc. and help the herb, plant to grow healthy. Secondly we can also use cinnamon for the rooten parts of our plants. If we put some cinnamon  on the rooten or weak parts of a plant, it will get better soon. ” Ulaş Arda Köylü / BODRUM MTAL / Teacher:Asude Ornekler

“Hello students, I like the idea of plastic bottles if they are recycled, in that way our potted model for the plant health will be eco-sustainable. Together with the student s of the other group we can realize a potted model for the health of plants that has also a system of irrigation, I draw this “Project” to show you my idea. I hope you like it. ” Garieri GABRIELE, IIS Ferrari Italy, Teacher Valentina Fera

“Yes, we can plant aromatic herbs and think about a way to take care of them. I love the project of Gabriele. ” Maiolo MICHELE, IIS Ferrari Italy, Teacher Valentina Fera

“I believe that we could use manure and green manure for the health of plants instead of chemical fertilizers. I also like the idea of ULAS ARDA to use cinnamon.” Perruccio MARIA TERESA, IIS Ferrari Italy, Teacher Valentina Fera

“I think we can choose materials without polluting. The idea of Arzum of a the bottle to see the grow of the plant is great.” FRANCESCA Sestito, IIS Enzo Ferrari, Italy Teacher: Valentina Fera

“I like the idea of Salvatore and Maria Teresa. ” MATTIA Ponteduro, IIS Enzo Ferrari Italy, Teacher Valentina Fera

“In my opinion i think the pot should be clay because the plastic does not help the plant and pollutes the environment … it should also have holes so as to leave the water and not stay inside the plant because rot.” Evi Kamperi, EPAL Kassandras

“In this design, we connect a blue light source to the top of the pot to make the plants more comfortable photosynthesis. Blue light greatly affects the photosynthesis rate of plants. In this way, blue light plays a big role. In this, the rate of carbon dioxide in the air begins to decrease. Plants can produce photosynthesis more quickly day and night and produce oxygen and nutrients” Esma Bayram, Etiler Anatolian High School, Teacher- Arzu Çalık Seydim

“In this design, the pot of the plant stands in a jar filled with water. There are several holes at the bottom of the flowerpot. Due to these holes, the plant gets enough water and grows healthy. if going for long trips, the jar is filled with enough water so that the plant lives for a long time.
In addition, the use of glass jars will be more useful than using plastic.” Elif Savaş, Etiler Anatolian High School, Teacher- Arzu Çalık Seydim

“If you want to watering your garden easier and with low cost; I think something like this will be much more effective. İn this way. I thought something like this for ease of irrigation and low cost. In this way, we will be able to spare time for ourselves rather than gardening.” Bahar Cengizoğlu /Etiler Anatolian High School /Teacher : Arzu Çalık Seydim

DISCUSSION:

“I think the idea that needs to be implemented is the idea of Inessa Chernobay. because in this way we can better observe the development of the plant”.

Elif Savaş – Etiler Anatolian High SchoolTeacher- Arzu Çalık Seydim

“I liked the idea of Garieri GABRIELE. It was really well thought out. His drawing can be adapted to real life and in a very convenient system for plants.”

Bahar Cengizoğlu /Etiler Anatolian High School /Teacher Arzu Çalık Seydim

“I liked Garieri GABRIELE’S idea. I think this idea is very functional and practicable. “

Ahmet Gökhan Erkan / Etiler Anatolian High School / Teacher : Arzu Çalık Seydim

“We liked Garieri GABRIELE’s idea.Recycled plastic bottles will be very useful to work on this subject. We liked the drawings and wonder about his idea.”

Ulaş Arda Köylü-Ege Özer / Teacher:Asude Örnekler / Bodrum MTAL

“Even though I had a different idea at first, I now think Garieri GABRIELE’s design would be more useful and easy to make. So my vote is on that idea.”

Arzum Ertik – Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School – Teacher: Fatma Boztepe

“I like Garierri GABRIELE’s idea. It looks great”

Berent Gaybi/ Etiler Anatolian High school/Teacher: Arzu Çalık Seydim

“I liked Garieri Gabriele’s model. We make plastic bottles into pots and recycle them.  We may have made a nice system to water the plants with the connections we will establish. The transparent pot can help us monitor the condition of the soil, the roots of the plant and the amount of water it absorbs.”

Esma Delice/Etiler Anatolian High School/Teacher-Arzu Çalık Seydim

“I think Garieri Gabriele’s idea is the most useful one.Because it is easy to make and functional.”

Veysel Enes Çalışkan/Beşiktaş Anatolian High School/Teacher-Fatma Boztepe

“I liked the idea of Garieri Gabriele. It is easy to make and  looks great. Also I liked the drawings.”

Esma Bayram/Etiler Anatolian High School/Teacher-Arzu Çalık Seydim

“Garieri Gabriele’s idea is the most handy one in my opinion. The drawings are great too. It is easy to make and also wisely like everybody said. So I think we should continue with this idea.”

Deniz Ölmez-Beşiktaş Anatolian High School-Teacher-Fatma Boztepe

“I LIKE THE IDEA OF GABRIELE GARIERI!”

Sestito Francesca, IIS Enzo Ferrari, Italy Teacher Valentina Fera

“I like the general idea of a transparent pot but think the best idea is Gabriele’s system. “

Perruccio Maria Teresa, IIS Enzo Ferarri Italy, Teacher Valentina Fera

“Thank you for supporting my idea. It is very easy to realize. “

Garieri Gabriele,IIS ENZO FERRARI ITALY, Teacher Valentina Fera

“I like all your ideas, but I also like the idea of my friend Gabriele and his drawing”

Carchidi Salvatore, IIS FERRARI ITALY, Teacher Valentina Fera

“Hello everybody,

HERE IS THE RESULT,

First of all I’d like to thank everybody for participating in the plant heath activitiy.

I’d like to announce that the idea of Garieri GABRIELE from IIS Ferrari Italy( Teacher Valentina Fera)  became the most popular idea in this group.

Despite the bad days under quarantine due to pandemic illness called Covid-19 we showed a great effort. The situation at present is really horrific.Thousands are people have been dying each day, people are in fear, there’s no school,no work,we have been in social isolation for weeks..Under these bad situations we did very veery well.I’m proud of all my partners, the teachers, students.

This application of the experiments ,materials etc.needed for the study ..are supported by the group members due to the quarantine situation. Thanks to everybody who took part in this job.

SUGGESTIONS:

“Irrigating slowly allows water to soak into the ground. So watering deeply instead of frequently prevent wasting water. And to process that we should know this and act by it.”
Yağmur Ö. – Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School- Turkey

“In order for proper watering to be done, it is necessary to provide sufficient water first and then use the water appropriately to ensure that the soil remains permanently fertile. When water is used well, it damages many times instead of benefit. Therefore, knowing the moisture level of the plant will prevent waste of water. Because of uninformed irrigation, hundreds of thousands of decares of land in our country have become irreplaceable or abandoned. We need to develop a tool, knowing and paying attention to this points.” Deniz Ölmez- Beşiktaş Atatürk Anotolian High School- Turkey

“I think it’s better to put pots with plants in a container of water. Then the roots of the plants themselves will absorb as much water as they need. This will be good for the plants.”
Yana Nekrasova, Teacher: Natalia Lebed.Ukraine. Kurakhove Vocational Lyceum

“When watering plants, we should not water from one side. Some plants grow with moisture in the air. When watering is over, the top of the flowerpot should be completely wet. ” Göksu Kamış – Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School – Turkey

“I thought about a device template which measures the moisture level in the soil and tells if it is damp enough to help grow the plant healthy.I think we can work on it. It’s easy to make and use too.” Tuna Gül – Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School – Turkey

“Tuna, we liked your idea..We support it 🤗 ” Meltem -Gulnaz-Büşra  Bodrum MTALTeacher:Asude Ornekler

“You can make such a model.”
Ana Nekrasova. Ukraine. Kurakhovsky Professional Lyceum.

“Basic tips to ensure health and vitality for every indoor plant! 1Move the plants closer to the windows, but leave at least 20 cm away from the glass. This should give you the light you need, without being affected by the outside temperature! 2Changed also the plants that had near the radiator but also those that had windows near the mountains since with the change of season, these windows will get little light. 3Most indoor plants love the environment with 45% humidity. However, can this percentage increase dangerously? Use a dehumidifier to keep the levels where you want them. 4Close the windows next to the plants as air currents and temperature changes can be harmful. 5Useful thermostat to keep house temperature constant. Ideal are 21-23 degrees Celsius.” Nasia Tsiala, EPAL Kassandras

“I agree with Ana. The plant is in a transparent pot, a plastic bottle can be used for it, it is placed so that its roots come into contact with water.  The plant can be fed with water as much as it needs, and the condition of the soil and roots can be observed in this way.  Plant owners may not always be available at home, this idea will provide great convenience for plant owners.” Esma Delice-Etiler Anatolian High School-Teacher-Arzu Çalık Seydim.

“We all go on long trips and vacations, and many of us have plants at home, but we can’t take our plants with us on those travels or holidays. We give it to our neighbors or relatives who are close to them. If we use the bottom of the pet bottles in this way, we will both save on cost and evaluate what you have.” Ahmet Gökhan Erkan/Etiler Anatolian High School /Teacher : Arzu Çalık Seydim

“One method to be able to irrigate especially in summer when you go on vacation for a long time is to make a kind of vacuum with the bottle. This method consists in taking a bottle and making a hole in the cap, then put it in the ground and make another small hole in the opposite side… the water will drop very gradually Another method is using capillarity, that is taking a ceramic cone with a lid on it that has a small tube, you cover this cone with water and you put it in the hole made in the ground. Put water in a bowl and through capillarity this ceramic cone will moist soil and the plant will grow. ” Serena Viscomi, IIS Enzo Ferrari, Italy, Teacher Valentina Fera

“Hello, I like your proposals but I prefer traditional irrigation methods

The four methods of irrigation are:

  • Surface.
  • Sprinkler.
  • Drip/trickle.
  • Subsurface. ” Barone Caterina, IIS Enzo Ferrari, Teacher Valentina Fera

DISCUSSION:

“I think making a device template which measures the moisture level in the soil and tells if it is damp enough to help grow the plant healthy (Tuna’s idea) is easy and useful at the same time. It can be helpful in many areas. And even it seems like it’s difficult to make or use it’s actually not. You can believe me. This is a very easy and useful way.”

Yağmur Özdemir – Teacher: Fatma Boztepe – Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School

“Our friend Tuna thought of a device template that measures the moisture level in the soil and tells whether the plant is moist enough to help it grow healthy. Measuring the moisture level is a very useful point for irrigation. In this way, we can avoid the waste of water and grow the plant healthier by learning whether there is a need for irrigation. This is a useful and practical method, so I think it is better.”

Deniz Ölmez-Beşiktaş Anatolian High School-Teacher-Fatma Boztepe

“I think Ana Nekrasova’s idea is the most functional and practical idea. therefore Ana’s idea should be chosen.”

Elif Savaş- Etiler Anatolian High School-Teacher: Arzu Çalık Seydim

“Ana Nekrasova’s idea seems useful and successful. The roots of the plant will absorb as much water as it needs and plant owners will be comfortable. We can also check the condition of the soil.”

Esma Delice/Etiler Anatolian High School/Teacher-Arzu Çalık Seydim

“We liked rope irrigation model of tuna from Besiktas Anatolian High School. It’s both practical and useful to do. :)))

Esma Bayram-Etiler Anatolian High School-Teacher: Arzu Çalık Seydim

“Hello, I like the irrigation model proposed by Tuna Gul. I like the innovative idea and the fact that you can recycle the bottles.”

Serena Viscomi, IIS ENZO FERRARI Italy, Teacher Valentina Fera

“I also like the idea of the plastic bottle, it is an innovative way that can help the environment if we use recycled bottles to irrigate our plants.”

Caterina Barone, IIS Enzo Ferrari, Italy. Teacher Valentina Fera
